This is a fantastic gift for anyone interested in expanding their skills and knowledge in the kitchen

This is a practical relaxed hands on pork pie making workshop. Somewhat different from the traditional cookery class. Turan will be leading the afternoon class covering all aspects of making a traditional hand raised pork pie. You’ll be working with raw ingredients to produce two 1 pound pork pies to take home with you. The class lasts for 4 hours and covers theory as well as that all important practical part. Aprons are provided and the class includes refreshments.

PORK PIE WORKSHOP FOR 1 or 2 persons

PORK PIE WORKSHOP – You can’t beat a traditional hand raised pork pie. Delicious rich tasting crumbly pastry. Succulent, well seasoned prime pork and of course all encased with a rich flavoured stock jelly.

DETAILS – On our four hour workshop you’ll be using only the finest ingredients and age old techniques to create two delicious 1lb pork pies to take home. One ready to eat and one to take home and bake in the oven for yourself.

You’ll learn how to make hot water crust pastry, Mince, chop and season pork for the perfect pork pie filling, Form the pastry around a traditional wooden dolly and raise the sides of the pie crust. You’ll also learn crimping techniques and how to create and fill your pie with a great tasting stock jelly.

You’ll take home two pies, one cooked in our oven and the other ready for you to take home and bake in the comfort of your own kitchen. This is the perfect workshop if you’re interested to learn some traditional techniques
